Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched two significant initiatives that promise to make a lasting impact on the state’s health and environment. These programs are a collaborative effort between the Sri Jagannatha Service Foundation, the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, and the American Heart Association.
The first initiative is a comprehensive statewide CPR training program. This ambitious effort will equip 200,000 individuals with the skills necessary to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) by 2025. The goal is to empower citizens to act swiftly and effectively during cardiac emergencies, ultimately saving lives and enhancing community resilience.
In addition to this life saving initiative, the second program focuses on environmental sustainability. The Sri Sathya Sai Prema Tharu Program aims to plant and maintain 1 million trees throughout Odisha by 2025. This initiative addresses climate change head-on, promoting biodiversity and fostering a healthier ecosystem for future generations.
Together, these landmark initiatives reflect a solid commitment to improving Odisha’s public health and environmental stewardship.
